Where tech, science, and art meet post-election anxiety, artists Caitlin Foley and Misha Rabinovich join in conversation around their current exhibition “Worries Bash” at Proof Gallery.
For several months, their site worries.io has become a platform for culling concerns from individuals representing communities near and far. Collected, translated vis-à-vis computer learning processing, and ultimately tucked within a papier-mâché piñata, the living archive of worries take on aural and physical forms.
We caught up with Caitlin and Misha to spend sometime interacting with the worries before they disappear…for now. On June 15th from 7-9pm at Proof Gallery, a ceremonial bashing of the sculptures will provide a social environment for confronting concerns. For more information visit Proof-Gallery.com
