Shira Laucharoen

Shira Laucharoen is a writer and editor based in Somerville. She formerly covered lifestyle and culture at Boston.com and oversaw the Boston Institute for Nonprofit Journalism’s Somerville Wire news project. She has also written for publications such as WBUR’s The ARTery, Boston Magazine, and Sampan newspaper in Chinatown. Shira is thrilled to be joining the BAR team and has great passion for Boston’s vibrant and compelling art scene. In her spare time, she is a musician who enjoys writing songs for voice and piano.
